Schedule for the Day
Details are still emerging, but here is a rough schedule for the day in Raleigh:
- 8:30-10:00- People arrive at the NCAE Center (700 S Salisbury)
- 10:00-10:30- Pre-rally at NCAE
- 10:30-12:00- March to the General Assembly
- 12:30-1:30- Rally at General Assembly
- 1:30-3:30- Countywide meetings on the Halifax Mall
- 3:30- Buses begin to depart from NCAE
5 Day Demand Blitz:
Each day this week will focus on another of our critical issues, and we will be using social media and targeted actions to engage other students, parents, educators, and supporters AND ask our lawmakers to take public positions. Please look out for the emails and legislative letter coming from the NCAE Organize 2020 Caucus and NCAE. And please check our Facebook Live sessions EVERY NIGHT THIS WEEK AT 7 as we focus on the following issues:
- Monday- More student support staff
- Tuesday- Reinstate Master’s Degree pay
- Wednesday- $15 and 5% for every staff person
- Thursday- Expand Medicaid
- Friday- Reinstate retiree health care benefits
