Educators of Color

Educators of Color meetings are a special time where educators across several districts can come together to fellowship and break bread together. Turquoise LeJeune Parker, Glenn Elementary 5th grade teacher, has facilitated a luncheon, breakfast, and cookie swap social. These gatherings have been amazing opportunities for teachers, IA’s, student services, support staff, and all education professionals to network and socialize with other educators who look like them, doing the same work.

This semester, the Educators of Color Luncheons will be coupled with the Teaching for Black Lives Book Study at the W.G Pearson Center (600 E Umstead).

Update 5/23/2019: The same amazing leadership that brought you the Educators of Color Luncheon is bringing the Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action program in 2019-2020 School Year. Check back for more details!
